Expression of Prostaglandin G/H synthase 2 (PTGS2, COX2) and Arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase (ALOX5), enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of the proinflammatory eicosanoids, is also attenuated (Chatidis et al. 2005).
